In this presentation we will describe the methods and systems that make up Evidence Based Veterinary Medicine (EBVM) Infrastructure.   We'll begin with the premise that EBVM infrastructure enables veterinarians to make decisions that are in the best interests of their clients and animals under their care.  Drawing on empirical evidence we will show where and why infrastructure is needed.  Lastly, we'll present a proposed roadmap for building infrastructure to help the profession evolve to meet future information challenges.

  • Be provided with an overview of current EBVM infrastructure supporting the veterinary profession and understand why its needed.
  • Learn about critical gaps in the existing infrastructure.
  • Be presented with a proposed roadmap for going forward.
