This will be a case-based discussion highlighting the importance of an accurate history, even though parts may be misleading, an in-depth clinical assessment and the essential use of diagnostic anaesthesia to determine the sources of pain, bearing in mind that when evaluating ridden horses we have to look at the horse-tack-rider triad holistically.
