Presentation Description / Summary: Come learn the basics of craniotomies- from surgical approaches, positioning, patient care pre- and post procedure. As well as anesthesia considerations for the neurological patient, with focus on intracranial disease.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to effectively prepare a patient for a craniotomy.
Participants will understand anesthetic considerations for the intracranial patient, from MRI to the surgery table.
Participants will understand nursing care that is vital, starting from the exam room.
