Presentation Description / Summary: Discuss general considerations for diet trials in dogs and cats with chronic enteropathies, both for initial diet trials and also in refractory cases that have failed previous diets, including how diet could still work in cases that have been categorized as "non-responsive enteropathy". Also some common comorbidities may influence diet selection. Additionally, we will discuss the importance and difficulty in obtaining a thorough diet history, and how to optimize obtaining that information.
