Presentation Description / Summary: Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is an overlooked diagnosis rarely talked about at the conference level. The goal is to learn the many causes and outcomes of PH, how to diagnose it and use proper treatments. The presentation will follow a general understanding of PH, how technicians can help diagnose through radiographs and ultrasound, understanding how treatment works and go through a few case studies to put what was just learned to the test.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the different diagnostic tools to diagnose PH including echocardiograms and radiographs.
Understand how treatment options actually work with treating PH.
Learn how pulmonary hypertension affects the pressure balance within the heart.
Technicians will be able to understand radiographs better and to understand the signs of pulmonary hypertension.
