Greg Morton received his PhD from Deakin University in Australia and completed postdoctoral training with Dr. Michael Schwartz at the University of Washington (UW). He is currently a Research Professor of Medicine at UW and serves as Director of the Diabetes and Metabolism Research Program at the UW Medicine Diabetes Institute and Director of the NIDDK-funded Nutrition Obesity Research Center Energy Balance Core. Dr. Morton’s research focuses on the role of the brain in regulating energy balance and glucose metabolism and how disruptions in this system contribute to obesity, and diabetes.
