In July 2019, Dr. James Lloyd founded Animal Health Economics, LLC, a company whose focus is identifying, analyzing, and implementing key strategic initiatives.in veterinary medicine and animal health, with particular emphasis on the veterinary workforce. From 2013 until 2019, Dr. Lloyd served as Dean of the University of Florida-College of Veterinary Medicine, where during his tenure the College improved its national ranking from 14th to 9th in only four years, while nearly doubling in total size. Before becoming Dean, Dr. Lloyd was Professor and Associate Dean at Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where he established a reputation as a leading scholar in economics and veterinary medicine, as both a veterinarian and an economist.
