Daniel Promislow completed his D.Phil. in Zoology in 1990 at Oxford University. He has held academic appointments in the Department of Genetics at the University of Georgia (1995-2013), the Pathology Department at the University of Washington (2013-2024), and since 2024 has been at the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University. Dr. Promislow is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Aging Association, and the Gerontological Society of America. Together with Drs. Kate Creevy and Matt Kaeberlein, Dr. Promislow is co-founder of the Dog Aging Project, a longitudinal Open Data study of aging in more than 53,000 companion dogs across the United States.
