Dr. Durando received her DVM from the University of Georgia before a residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Florida. After receiving a PhD in physiology in endotoxin tolerance at the Medical University of South Carolina, she completed a fellowship in Ultrasound & Cardiology at New Bolton Center. This was followed by a position in Equine Medicine at the University of California, Davis, a position in equine cardiopulmonary research at New Bolton Center, and a position in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota. Currently she is co-owner of Equine Sports Medicine Consultants, and works part time at Mid Atlantic Equine Medical Center and Rood and Riddle Equine Hopsital, Wellington.
