Dr. Dehghanpir received her DVM from LSU SVM in 2013 and completed a rotating internship at PennVet before returning to LSU for a residency in clinical pathology and master’s degree in pathobiological sciences. She became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2017 and now serves as an associate professor and service chief for the clinical pathology department, a resident mentor and graduate committee member, and a contributor to ACVP and ASVCP committees. She has developed an expertise in fungal cytopathology, with a research focus on improving cytologic descriptions and interpretations of uncommon mycoses in veterinary medicine.
