Sylvia Lesnikowski earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and English Literature from McGill University, and then completed veterinary school at Tufts University. Following veterinary school, she completed a one year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery, followed by a three year residency in small animal internal medicine, at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. She became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and is a board certified veterinarian specialist in small animal internal medicine. She currently works at the ASPCA Animal Hospital as Director of Internal Medicine and Clinical Research. In this role, she combines her clinical experience, research background, and avid knowledge to promote animal welfare and expand spectrum of care in veterinary medicine.
