Rebecca (Becky) M. Legere, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVIM-LA, is an Assistant Professor of Equine Internal Medicine at Texas A&M University. An equine internist and early-career investigator, her work focuses on respiratory disease, neonatal immunology, and innovative therapies for critical illness in horses. Dr. Legere earned her DVM from Kansas State University, completed a residency and MS at Auburn University, and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M studying mRNA-based prevention of Rhodococcus equi. Her laboratory develops practical technologies to enhance equine health, uniting research, clinical care, and collaboration across the veterinary and equine communities.
