Dr. Rebecca Legere is an Assistant Professor in Equine Internal Medicine and the director of the Legere Laboratory for Equine & Veterinary Innovation at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University. She trained and worked as a biomedical engineer before pursuing veterinary school at Kansas State University, followed by residency training and graduate school at Auburn University and PhD at Texas A&M University focused on mRNA-based prevention strategies for Rhodococcus equi in foals. Her research interests include aerosol medicine, infectious diseases, immunology, neonatology, and critical care.
