Dr. Ailbhe King is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ruminant Medicine in the Department of Population Health and Pathobiology at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. King received her Veterinary Medicine degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine at University College Dublin, Ireland in 2015. Thereafter she spent some time in mixed animal practice in England before completing a residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine at UC Davis. She became boarded in Large Animal Internal Medicine and took a position as an Assistant Professor of Production Animal Medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts. While working at RUSVM she also completed a Master’s through research where she investigated the effect of pooling colostrum on the transfer of passive immunity in dairy calves.
Dr. King’s research interests include but are not limited to calf health and veterinary education.
