Dr. Claire Sharp, BVMS(Hons), MS, DACVECC, is an Associate Professor in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care at Murdoch University in Western Australia. Dr. Sharp’s research focuses on coagulation, sepsis, and rational use of anticoagulants in small animal practice amongst other ECC topics. She has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and contributed to international guidelines, including the CURATIVE guidelines regarding the rational use of thromboprophylaxis in dogs and cats.
