Janice O'Brien is a PhD candidate (by the time of the 2026 ACVIM forum, hopefully will be a full PhD). She attended MIT for undergrad and got involved in research early. After graduating from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, she joined the Army and served for 5 years. Then she practiced in small-animal practice in rural Virginia before pursuing her PhD in nutrition epidemiology at Virginia Tech.
