Maryanne Murphy, DVM, PhD, DACVIM (Nutrition), is a board certified veterinary nutritionist® and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee, where she serves as Chief of the Veterinary Nutrition Service. She earned her DVM from Iowa State University and completed both a nutrition residency and PhD at the University of Tennessee, focusing on energy metabolism and satiety in dogs. Dr. Murphy has authored peer‑reviewed publications and textbook chapters, co‑edited Obesity in the Dog and Cat, and is an internationally recognized speaker on clinical nutrition.
