Dr. Jen Ward is a board-certified veterinary pathologist and founder of Specialty Vetpath in Seattle. With over 10 years of experience using chromogenic immunochemistry in diagnostic pathology, she’s passionate about building stronger connections between clinical teams and the pathology lab. Jen’s path to veterinary medicine began in literature, but her love of science and animals led her from an MA in English to a DVM from Washington State University. After her pathology residency and dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Florida, she returned to the Pacific Northwest to launch a lab focused on collaborative diagnostics, research, and communication. Her teaching style is grounded, practical, and all about bridging the gap between the microscope and the exam room.
