Dr. Joseph Wakshlag graduated from the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 and continued his training to become board certified in Veterinary Clinical Nutrition in 2008, in tandem with becoming a founding member of the College of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2010. He also received his PhD in Pharmacology in the department of Molecular Medicine at Cornell University. He started his academic career at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 eventually becoming a Full Professor in 2019. He has taught veterinary nutrition in the curriculum for nearly 20 years and continues to foster productive research in multiple areas including cancer cell biology, sporting dog physiology and nutraceutical use.
