Kris graduated from the University of Sydney in 1995 and undertook a residency in equine internal medicine at the University of Sydney between 1999-2003. He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Equine Medicine and a diplomate of the European College of Equine Internal Medicine. Kris is a professor of equine medicine at Charles Sturt University, Australia and is active in referral equine practice, undergraduate and post-graduate teaching, research and veterinary hospital management. His principal research interests are equine gastrointestinal disease, including alterations of the microbiota, endoparasitism and salmonellosis, equine endocrine disorders, non-infectious lower airway disease and intensive care of horses.
