Dr. Xuan Pan, VMD, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. She earned her combined VMD–PhD degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her medical oncology training at UW–Madison, where she now serves on faculty. Her work centers on immune checkpoint regulation and the development of innovative liquid biopsy approaches, including the CancerK9 platform, to advance early cancer detection and improve outcomes in canine patients. Dr. Pan’s research integrates comparative oncology to bridge discoveries between veterinary and human medicine.
