Dr. Guilherme Verocai is an Associate Professor at the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology at Texas A&M University, where he is alsoc the Director of the Parasitology Laboratory. He obtained his veterinary degree and Masters in Parasitology from the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a PhD in Parasitology from the University of Calgary Canada. Since 2018 he joined Texas A&M University, where he teaches in the veterinary curriculum, provide diagnostic services and conducts reseaarch. His research focuses on understanding parasite biodiversity, and advancing diagnostic methods for parasites of veterinary and Public Health importance, including vector-borne and zoonotic helminths, and the New World Screwwolrm.
