Dr. Autumn Harris is a board-certified veterinary internist and nephrologist at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine’s Small Animal Hospital. She earned her DVM from Mississippi State University in 2012 and completed a rotating internship at Kansas State University. She then completed an internal medicine residency and a nephrology fellowship at the University of Florida, where she later served as an Assistant Professor for six years. Dr. Harris subsequently completed a nephrology–urology residency at NC State and is board-certified in both specialties. She provides care for patients with kidney and urinary diseases, with a focus on chronic kidney disease. Her research centers on kidney failure, particularly acid–base balance and its role in optimizing clinical management.
