Dr. Alvey is currently a large animal medicine resident at Oregon State University. Prior to residency, she completed veterinary school at Oregon State University with a large animal-focus. She completed a rotating equine internship at Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center in California, where her interest and experience in emergency and internal medicine grew. While most of her experience is in equine medicine, Dr. Alvey enjoys working with small ruminants, especially goats. She appreciates teaching and mentoring veterinary students in both a clinical and didactic setting. Her current research interests include the equine inflammatory cascade, single domain antibodies, and measurement of failure of passive transfer.
