Dr. M. Alexis Seguin obtained her MS (molecular virology) and DVM at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1996 and 1998, respectively. She completed a small-animal internship at North Carolina State University, followed by a 3-year residency in small-animal internal medicine at the University of Florida. She spent some time in private specialty practice in Arizona and Wisconsin, before joining IDEXX Reference Laboratories in 2004. In 2025, she achieved certification in Clinical Health Informatics through Oregon Health and Science University. She currently serves as a Medical Affairs manager for the Molecular Diagnostics and Software departments. Her interests include molecular diagnostics, infectious diseases, and medical informatics.
