Lara Fossati graduated in veterinary medicine from the University of Sydney, Australia, in 2006. After working in general practice, she moved into emergency and critical care at a small animal referral hospital, where she also completed a 1 yr internship. In 2016, she began a clinical nutrition residency at the University of California, Davis, and is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Nutrition). Since 2019, she has worked at Royal Canin in France and is currently Chief Medical Officer for the EU region.
