Sandra Martinez earned her veterinary degree (MVZ) from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Following graduation, she completed a 1.5-year surgical internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Kentucky, and subsequently a one-year rotating internship at the University of Guelph. She then matched into a Large Animal Internal Medicine residency at Kansas State University, where she is currently training.

In her free time, Sandra enjoys spending time with her dog, reading at coffee shops, and going to the gym.
