Dr. Gal is a dual-boarded specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine (DACVIM) and Anatomic Pathology (DACVP). He earned his DVM (2001) and completed his internship (2005) at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He subsequently joined the University of Illinois, where he completed residencies in both disciplines and earned his PhD in 2014. Following a faculty tenure at Massey University in New Zealand (2015–2018), Dr. Gal returned to the University of Illinois in December 2018, where he currently serves as an Associate Professor in Small Animal Internal Medicine.
