Dr. Benson is currently a first-year Food Animal Internal Medicine Resident at Auburn University. Dr. Benson earned three Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degrees from the University of Georgia in 2020 graduating summa cum laude. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at UGA in 2024, also graduating summa cum laude. Prior to starting his residency at Auburn Univeristy, Dr. Benson completed a large animal rotating internship at the University of Georgia. His professional interests include infectious diseases, food animal neonatology, and gastrointestinal diseases. Long term, Dr. Benson aspires to be a clinician at an academic institution, where he hopes to teach and mentor future veterinarians.
