Cardiology resident
University of Minnesota
Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
Joe Herbert is the final-year cardiology resident at the University of Minnesota and is still trembling after sitting a small quiz last week.
Originally, Joe trained as a veterinarian in Australia, where he also completed a rotating internship and worked as an ER veterinarian, before moving to the UK for his cardiology internship and then to the USA for residency training. Next stop will be Vancouver, Canada.
Joe has a special interest in interventional cardiology, which has led him here today, where he will present on two topics: one on the treatment of SAS with cutting and high-pressure balloon valvuloplasty, and the second on PDA occlusion in cats using a variety of devices.
