Introduction to the role of a Veterinary Technician Specialists (VTS), including an overview of the Academy of Internal Medicine for Veterinary Technicians (AIMVT) and the Academy of Veterinary Nutrition Technicians (AVNT). This session will provide an overview of the VTS application process for both academies. Participants will then attend breakous sessions focused on individual AIMVT specialty areas (small animal internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, neurology, large animal internal medicine, equine internal medicine, and production internal medicine) as well as veterinary nutrition.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participant will be able to understand process of applying for a VTS within AIMVT and AVNT
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand the application process
Upon completetion, participants will be able to know what is epected in the examination process
