Presentation Description / Summary: Using a selection of cases to cover a range of common neurological conditions that occur in the senior patient, we will explore what nursing considerations these patients require and what additional co-morbidities/nursing needs they may have due to their age. By using cases I will be able to go over case presentation, diagnostics, treatment and the nursing care. Looking at conditions such as cerebrovascular disease, idiopathic vestibular syndrome and intervertebral disc protrusions for example to demonstrate the specific requirements of neurology nursing in the geriatric patient. Finally summarizing with a general list of senior nursing requirements for the elderly neurological patient.
