Presentation Description / Summary: This lecture will provide an overview of what we know about Chiari-like Malformations and Syringomyelia in Cavalier King Charles Spaniels as well as other small breeds. Current tools to evaluate these dogs clinically will be described and discussed and updates on clinical trials and their associated methodology will be presented.
Learning Objectives:
1. The participant will be able to describe Chiari pain and Chiari Syringomyelia syndromes.
2. The participant will be able to perform a clinical assessment and grading of pain in Chiari-like Malformations.
3. The participant will be able to list the critical features of Chiari-like Malformation on MRI.
