Romy Heilmann is currently a Professor in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Leipzig, Germany. She completed her residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University and the Gastrointestinal Laboratory. Her clinical work has a focus on gastroenterology and hepatology, and her research is focused on clinical, clinicopathologic, immunological, and treatment aspects of chronic inflammatory enteropathies and hepatopathies in dogs and cats.
