Monica Aleman is a board certified diplomate of the ACVIM in large animal internal medicine and neurology and neurosurgery. Dr. Aleman has a PhD in comparative pathology with specialization in neuromuscular disorders and is the director of the Neuromuscular Disease Laboratory at UCD. Dr. Aleman directs the Comparative Neurology Research Group at UCD. Dr. Aleman is a national and international speaker in human and veterinary meetings in neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Aleman has over 250 publications in peer reviewed journals, proceedings, abstracts, and lay term publications.
