Dr. Elizabeth (Liddy) Alvarez is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Director of Early Clinical Experiences, where she has taught since 2008. A leader in primary care and Spectrum of Care education, she co-chairs national AAVMC initiatives, helped found WisCARES (a One Health program established to help pet owners experiencing homelessness and housing instability increase access to animal and human healthcare and social services), and has received multiple prestigious teaching and interprofessional healthcare awards, including the AAVMC National Distinguished Veterinary Teacher and Distinguished Fellow in the National Academies of Practice (NAP).
