Jonathan Elliott gained his veterinary degree from Cambridge University. He completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD in Cardiovascular Pharmacology at the University of Cambridge. He was then appointed to a lectureship in Pharmacology at the Royal Veterinary College in 1990 where he is currently Professor of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology. He has undertaken clinical research into feline chronic kidney disease for the last 34 years and has published 130 papers on the topic. He is a board member of IRIS, a Diplomate of European College of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology. and an honorary DACVIM (Small Animal).
