Dr Julie Kavanagh is a board-certified veterinary cardiologist (ACVIM) currently based in Sydney, Australia. She graduated from University College Dublin in 2012, worked in general practice, then completed rotating and cardiology specific internships at Davies Veterinary Specialists (UK). She undertook a cardiology residency at the Royal Veterinary College, London, achieving ACVIM Diplomate status in 2019. She later established Northern Ireland’s first specialist cardiology service. In 2022, she joined Paragon Referrals (Yorkshire) to focus on interventional cardiology. She now works at Veterinary Specialists of Sydney. Her interests include congenital heart disease, catheter-based interventions, and expanding access to advanced cardiology care.
