Presentation Description / Summary: In this on-demand session, a veterinary internist will provide an in-depth exploration of the diagnostic approach to solid gastrointestinal (GI) neoplasia in small animals with an emphasis on colorectal proliferative lesions in dogs and intestinal lymphoma in cats. Topics will include clinical presentation, optimal diagnostic testing, imaging interpretation, and the role of endoscopy versus surgery in obtaining diagnostic samples. Emphasis will be placed on integrating clinical findings with diagnostic imaging and pathology to guide management decisions and client communication.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to develope a comprehensive therapeutic strategy for managing cats with both high-grade and low-grade intestinal lymphoma
Upon completion, participants will be able to identify appropriate diagnostic tests and procedures for differentiating colorectal lymphoproliferative lesions in dogs
Upon completion, participants will be able to optimize the differentiation of neoplastic from non-neoplastic gastrointestinal disorders of dogs and cats with a guide to subsequent management.
