Dr. Stanley Marks graduated from the University of Pretoria (South Africa) and completed a rotating small animal internship at the University of Missouri, followed by residencies in small animal internal medicine (University of Florida) and oncology (UC Davis). He earned a PhD in Nutrition from UC Davis, where he is currently a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Medicine and Epidemiology. Dr. Marks is a Diplomate of the ACVIM in internal medicine, oncology, and nutrition, and past President of the Comparative Gastroenterology Society. His clinical and research interests include dysphagia and esophagology and infectious enteropathies. He has received 10 teaching awards at UC Davis and the 2022 AVMA Career Achievement in Canine Research Award.
