Dr. Callum Donnelly is a theriogenologist, internist and clinician-scientist specializing in large animal maternal–fetal medicine. His research integrates advanced imaging, reproductive physiology, and multi-omic approaches to understand how metabolic factors influence pregnancy health in mares and other large animals. Dr. Donnelly leads collaborative, multi-institutional studies on bile acid signaling, reproductive endocrinology, and the impact of pharmaceuticals on fertility. In addition to his research, he is dedicated to teaching and clinical innovation, advancing diagnostic and management strategies for high-risk pregnancies. His work bridges fundamental biology and applied veterinary practice to improve outcomes for both mares and foals.
