Lucy Davison graduated from Cambridge Vet School and is a European and RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine. Following time in primary care practice, she completed a PhD on canine diabetes mellitus at the Royal Veterinary College and a residency at the University of Cambridge. She subsequently undertook research training in human genetics and functional genomics in Cambridge and Oxford, supported by Wellcome Trust and MRC fellowships. She is currently Professor of Veterinary Clinical Genetics at the Royal Veterinary College and her laboratory is based within the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism. Her research interests focus on comparative endocrinology, immunology and complex disease genetics.
