Margaret Gruen, DVM, MVPH, PhD, DACVB (she/her/hers)

Dr. Gruen completed her veterinary degree at the University of Illinois, followed by an internship, residency in veterinary behavior, and PhD from NC State University. She spent two years at Duke University, where she co-directed the Canine Cognition Center, and is now a Professor of Behavioral Medicine an NC State University and a University Faculty Scholar. Her work focuses on the impact of chronic pain on cognition and emotion in dogs and cats.
