Lucy Davison is a graduate of Cambridge Vet School, and a European and RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine. After several years in primary care practice, she completed a PhD on canine diabetes mellitus at the Royal Veterinary College, followed by a residency in small animal medicine at the University of Cambridge. She subsequently undertook training in human genetics and functional genomics at the University of Cambridge as a Wellcome Trust Intermediate Clinical Fellow, followed by a Wellcome Veterinary Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Oxford. In 2018, she joined the Royal Veterinary College as an MRC Clinician Scientist Fellow and Professor of Veterinary Clinical Genetics. Her main interests lie in the comparative genetics and biology of complex diseases, especially in endocrinology and immunology.
